State Attorney General Richard Blumenthal obtained the order Tuesday against D&L Tractor Trailer Training School. He claimed the company is operating without a certificate of authorization from the Department of Higher Education. The DHE conducted the undercover mission. Students of the school could not become licensed truck drivers unless the school gets its license. "This order stops dead D&L's wrong way detour down a road that disregards the law and its own students," Blumenthal said. "D&L knew it was operating unlawfully without a certificate but continued to enroll students and collect thousands of dollars in tuition." Blumenthal said several students have complaints against the school, which is forced to: Stop operating its school; stop disbursing or distributing any funds from its business; preserve its files regarding financial records; provide all student files since 1997; stop collecting fees on students who enrolled on or after Feb. 29; and stop website advertising.
