Kansas AG hints at 2010 run
Steve Six
TOPEKA, Kansas (Legal Newsline)-Kansas Attorney General Steve Six said Thursday he is thinking about running for a full four-year term.

The Democrat would be on the statewide ballot in 2010.

"I found that I do really enjoy the work of the attorney general's office and appreciate all the good we can do for the people of Kansas," Six said, speaking to WIBW-AM in Topeka.

"What that leaves me to believe is that I can continue this job into the future, but I believe it's premature to determine whether I'll be a candidate in 2010," he added.

Six was appointed to the post in January by Democratic Gov. Kathleen Sebelius.

He replaced Paul Morrison, who was elected in 2006 but was forced to resign amid a sex scandal.

Before being appointed as attorney general, Six served as a Douglas County district court after 10 years in private practice. He also clerked for U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Deannell Tacha.
