BOISE, Idaho (Legal Newsline)-The chief justice of the Idaho Supreme Court has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy treatments, a statement said Wednesday.
Chief Justice Dan Eismann has been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, which affects white blood cells and thus the body's immune system.
Eismann, 61, says he intends to continue his role as chief justice and maintain a full caseload throughout the treatment phase, which is expected to last through November.
He was elected to the state's high court in 2000, and elevated to chief justice in 2007.
