RESTON, Va. (Legal Newsline) - The four candidates to become Virginia's next governor will participate in a forum hosted by Microsoft on April 3.

Included in that field is Republican Bob McDonnell, who recently resigned as Virginia's attorney general so he could focus on his gubernatorial campaign. In February, state legislators selected Bill Mims to fill out McDonnell's term, which expires in January.

McDonnell will be joined by Democrats state Sen. Creigh Deeds, political consultant Terry McAuliffe and former Del. Brian Moran.

The Technology Town Hall Forum will be held at the Microsoft Offices in Reston and will be moderated by Josh Levi, Vice President of Policy at Northern Virginia Technology Council.

Also, a Washington Post report says former Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee will take part in two fundraisers on McDonnell's behalf. He will be in Roanoke and Bristol on Monday and Virginia Beach the next day.

The report also noted that other former candidates Fred Thompson and Rudy Giuliani have already hosted fundraisers for McDonnell.
