PORTLAND, Ore. (Legal Newsline) - Oregon Attorney General John Kroger's car was broken into early Tuesday outside the Democrat's southwest Portland home.
The Oregonian reported that the only thing stolen from Kroger's car was his briefcase that he accidentally left.
The briefcase contained draft legal papers, his law enforcement credentials and a book of phone numbers for various officials in the state.
Kroger, a former federal prosecutor who is serving his first term as AG, said there there's been a series of car break-ins in his neighborhood and he doesn't think he was targeted.
