Salvi told The Cook County Record about his family influence in the legal field.
"My father was a lawyer," he said. "We were extremely close. I always admires what he did and how he helped so many people."
Salvi has been practicing law in his firm since 1982, but his legal practice has been around for over 40 years.
With his main field of expertise in personal injury and medical malpractice, Salvi said he loves being in the courtroom, with his heroes being "the top personal injury lawyers" from when he was a young attorney. Salvi also enjoys "learning the medicine and the chess match of litigation."
In regards to his proudest achievement, Salvi cites a high-profile injury case.
"I would say my proudest achievement is being the lead trial lawyer in winning the largest personal injury case in the state’s history ($148 million for a young woman paralyzed at O’Hare Airport) and the trial team included my son, Patrick," Salvi said. "It was our sixth jury trial together."
Salvi said the biggest challenge in his legal career was founding his own firm.
"It is a challenge I enjoy though," Salvi said, noting that he also liked the business aspect of running a law firm.
