MIDLAND — Current and former Texas and New Mexico oilfield service workers are alleging Legend Energy failed to pay them overtime.

Tandy Baswell, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, filed a complaint  March 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas Midland-Odessa Division against Legend Energy Group LLC, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Baswell worked for Legend from July 2019 through September 2019 as a torque hand in Texas and in New Mexico. He claims he and other workers were misclassified as independent contractors and were not paid for overtime at the required rate of time and a half for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiffs seek monetary relief, interest and all other just relief. They are represented by Clif Alexander and Lauren Braddy of Anderson Alexander PLLC in Corpus Christi.
